HANDOUT 1

Fact vs. Story Split

FACT: What could a camera, calendar, message thread, receipt or neutral observer verify?

STORY: What am I adding about motive, meaning, intent, fear, love, rejection, future outcome or character?

NEXT QUESTION: If the story stayed unknown, what decision could I still make from the facts?

HANDOUT 2

Access Should Match Behavior

Access is not only whether someone can contact you. It can include time, attention, availability, scheduling priority, emotional labor, physical access, money, future planning, response speed and expectation.

What pattern of behavior am I responding to?
What level of access am I currently giving?
What level of access fits the evidence better?
HANDOUT 3

The One-Next-Action Card

KNOWNUNKNOWNPATTERNBOUNDARYNEXT ACTION
KNOWN - What can I verify?
UNKNOWN - What am I trying to solve?
PATTERN - What keeps repeating?
BOUNDARY - What access or standard fits?
NEXT ACTION - What is one thing I control?
The goal is not to make another person's decision for them. The goal is to make the next controllable decision from observable information.
