Boundaries & Access

Blocking as Access Control, Not Punishment

Blocking them isn't punishment. It's protection.

KNOWN

  • Whether incoming contact destabilizes your decisions
  • Whether prior contact repeatedly restarted the same cycle
  • Whether you can maintain the boundary without blocking

UNKNOWN

  • How they will interpret being blocked
  • Whether blocking will make them miss you or change

PATTERN

A boundary is about controlling your access and participation, not engineering another person's reaction.

BOUNDARY

Use blocking only when it serves a boundary you intend to keep, not as a test, threat, or strategy for producing pursuit.

NEXT ACTION

Decide what access you are protecting yourself from and what condition, if any, would justify changing that access later.
